Greetings, salutations, and a wag of my tail from the Lakeshore Humane Society! We are writing to you today, because we need your help. In the time we have been residents at the shelter, we've gotten to know some of the 'peeps' here. They are real regular folks who love and care about us animals. We see that they put a lot of time and effort in making us comfortable while we wait for our perfect match to walk in the door and adopt us into forever homes.
This one group here, called the Fund Raising Committee, is always looking for ways to make money for the shelter to buy the things it needs to run the place. Right now the shelter needs new washers and dryers. There's lots of laundry to do here every day. We go through a lot of blankies, pillow beds, pads, towels and rags 'n stuff in the course of a day. The washers and dryers are going steady all day long. Some of us are messy; what can I say?
So, the women on this committee get a real doozy of an idea and put themselves into some serious "hot water." They promise to raise at least $4,000 to buy us some new washers and dryers. Obviously, they can't come up with this kind of money alone. So, they have been asking some businesses around the County to "sell" helping hand stickers for $1 (or more). You can help too by being on the lookout for this poster, and asking to buy a sticker. Do you think you could give these women a lift and lend them a helping hand?
